AUSTRALIA HOLIDAY 2009

Surprise!! Steve's 40th birthday party. Cindy asked us to come to be his surprise - and he was definitely surprised. Great job, Cindy!

Our first chance to hold our grandsons Owen 2 1/2 years and Aidan 4 weeks. What a special 3 weeks we had.

Maryann and Patricia took us to Arthur's Seat

I was even able to meet with Lisa while I was there.

Cindy and Owen decorating the Christmas tree. Owen did a great job and had so much fun, that he wants to do it every day.

Father and son on our last night there.

Grandma and Aidan watching Owen decorate the tree.

And here he is - Owen Christopher Bibb himself - having a ball decorating for Christmas. He hung the balls and ornaments like a big boy. Then he later took some of them off so he could do it again.
There are so many pictures that I cannot even begin to show them all. Besides enjoying Steve, Cindy, Owen, and Aidan immensely - Cindy's family were all terrific. We couldn't have asked for a better time or more special folks to be with.
Thanks for everything, Steve, Cindy, Ted, Maryann, Lisa, Bruce, Patricia, and Claire and the rest of the family and friends that made Steve's party a special surprise.

FALL IS HERE ALREADY

Holiday on Ft. Gibson Lake

Pond Project

Sun Room Project

Metal Building Project

It has been almost 2 months since I have written a new post on my blog. I can't believe where time has gone. This summer has been so busy with medical procedures, projects around here, company, business, church, etc.

We have accomplished three good sized projects this summer:

Our lanai (screened in porch) has been turned into a sun room with windows all around. We have also added a 30 x 40 metal building to our "little acres". This will be used as a garage, workshop, storage, workout room, and music room. There has also been the addition of a little pond. We are still working on each of these projects, but they are at least to the point that we are enjoying the use of each of them.

We took today for a "Holiday" as we have not been able to take the boat out once this year. It is already the beginning of fall and the weather was beautiful, so today was the day for boating. We really enjoyed and were glad to get the boat out at least once this year. It was good for the boat, too.

MUCH NEEDED FUN DAY

This is where we ate after golf. We had planned to eat at Gators Restaurant, but it was closed and Watts Family Bar-B-Que was across the road from it. This restaurant has memories for Ken and Steve as they ate there many years ago.
Here is Gator's Restaurant on the lake where we had planned on eating.

Ken had some great shots - especially since he had not played golf for almost a year.

We had some gorgeous views on this course. This is Lake Eufala. We are at Arrowhead Golf Course

Usually we walk and I pull the cart for Ken, but my knee isn't up to it yet since I fell on the cement. Still have to use the leg brace if I walk far. It was raining off and on and ended up having to quit on about #15 because of lightening. Was good to have the cart.

Talk about beautiful sites!

Many deer on this course. This is Bambi and Mom.

And here's the pro at work. We are heading today back to the Dr. for another procedure for Ken, so it was great to have a "Fun Day" away.

And we can't forget the wild turkeys on the course.

GREAT VISIT WITH BRANDON, LIZ, AND HAILEY

Brandon, Liz, and Hailey with Papa Ken
Brandon playing horseshoes and with Buster at the same time.

Great throw!

Brandon, Liz, Hailey and Grandma Leslie

Hailey learning to play checkers. She did good.

She also enjoyed picking veggies

She enjoyed riding in the wagon, too This was the day they left. Hailey and her dad.

Hailey and Grandma. I knew Hailey was having way too much fun in this picture.

This is a great picture of Mom, Dad, and Hailey
Hailey's last wagon ride before they headed home.
We had a great time while they were here. We also had about 3 accidents during their visit, but we survived. (Grandma fell hard in the garage on her knee, Hailey closed her thumb in the door the same evening, and then the wagon fell over with Hailey once - but we lived through them just fine.) Hailey, I hope you are not hurting bad from your accident. Thanks, Brandon, for all your help on our computers and thanks, Liz, for the delicious dinner and cake you made. We love you.
